@Zombie Ms. Skittles: Yeah, I think the guilt would be pretty difficult to deal with, and it seems like you would pretty much be kissing that friendship goodbye. But also, I would think given the circumstances that I'd feel guilty already for leaving her there - seeing as it didn't turn out to be a wise idea. And

I had a friend who got a tiny piece of cigarette ash in her eye when we were out with friends once. She was a known hypochondriac, and though no one could see anything in her eye, she was really worried about it. It was 2am and we were all really tired but more than one person in our group offered to take her to the

She says most people wouldn't go visit their friend in the hospital, "At least if you’re being honest with yourselves."

52 year old stripper. I'm not sure if I want to say "go girl!", or have a cry.

She stabbed her with the heal several times in the FACE.

Matt - everyone grows up with adults of both genders telling them what to do all the time - teachers, parents, coaches, etc. Why would men be the only ones adversely affected by this?

@bluebears: This was my feeling exactly. She seems to live totally at the whim of passing fancies and the opinions of a small group of people. I think she genuinely believes that everybody thinks the same way, which is sad on it's own. But that she doesn't see the possibility of living on her own terms is even sadder.

Wow, I'm surprised that they didn't go the other way and give her a Bratz look, with high heels, a bare midriff, and a cell phone permanently attached to her hand. Sometimes it's nice to find out that you're too cynical.

@Zombie Ms. Skittles: You should check out the comments on the original article. People are eloquently ripping that columnist a new one.

"I have known these girls for more than 10 years, and had until now considered them my best friends."

I'm kind of skeptical of any government survey of repressed people. Though, to be fair, I think it's quite possible that many Saudi women have been made to feel inferior, and/or are so intimidated by men (who hold absolute power over them) that they wouldn't want to integrate with them.

Kind of unfortunate what's going on with that dude's shorts. NC marks the spot.

Malia looks like she's grown several inches this year. Reminds me of when I was 11 - I went from 4'3" to 5'3" in one year, and haven't grown an inch since.

@Intern Katy: I had a friend who was a nurse and she told me about how pregnant women often get on the toilet. I guess there's so much discomfort and pressure that even if you know you're close to giving birth it still feels like you need to go. In this story, it's crazy how the baby just shot out of her without all

@EdenMoore: You should check out that show if you get a chance. It's fascinating. I think it's called, "I didn't know I was pregnant." Catchy title. I thought it was going to be a bunch of half-wits telling Enquirer stories, but these were regular women! These women took pregnancy tests, some went to their doctors,

@baboonbutt: And here I was trying to think of a way to market anxiety.

@BytheSea: No one cared about Rock Hudson in 1985 and certainly didn't talk about his disease in a public service sort of way.

Hmmm, my dreams usually involve spiders in my hair. I wonder how I can parlay that into a successful business venture?

Women having babies on the toilet is pretty common - even in more developed countries. It's a pretty common response to go sit on the toilet when you're having abdominal pain.

Christopher's dress was the worst. Just terrible. Logan's was next-worst. Hid-e-ous. But Sharin should have made the bottom three just for the fact that she didn't even really deconstruct the dress. She cut off the bottom, sewed some new straps on, and put a cheap looking belt over the original waistline. The only
