Forget fertility issues, I’d be reacting that way because my just turned 20 year old sister got pregnant with some dude she dated for 2 months after being in a relationship with a pedophile for 4 years. 

I think the assumption is that the non-working spouse gave up a paying job at some point in order to enable the much richer spouse’s career. And, tbf, with high-paying jobs in entertainment and business and such, there is an assumption by management that the employee will have a non-working spouse and that at-home…

But, also, if your sister is 20 and has been with her boyfriend for like 5 months it’s not even that illogical.
