My girlfriend also has an issue with “ruin.” It comes out as “rune” or “runned” depending on the tense. She has a very neutral accent otherwise. I chalk it up to growing up in Texas.

I’m among those who have allergies that vary, depending on if the item is raw or cooked. None of them are severe enough to cause concern, but they’re definitely there. I’ll experience itching and very minor swelling in my mouth or throat.

I have a few. This matches my experiences pretty well. Shin wasn't so bad. Back of the calf wasn't bad, but as it climbed up towards the back of the knee, ouch. Inside of the arm was no picnic, and inside just below my armpit, super ouch.

People are so far removed from their food source that a significant percentage don't even realize where what they're eating came from. Meat comes from the grocery store, in nice little plastic and Styrofoam containers, not animals. They wouldn't let animals in the grocery store, it's not hygienic.

We have a little cafe/food service dispensary in the break room of my office that offers the general sort of thing you'd expect at a lunch counter in a corporate office. Breakfast sandwiches and an occasional omelet in the morning, burgers and fries at lunch, etc.
