Look, obviously I want to learn the identity of the A-list celebrity pedophile before anyone else. Indeed, this is basically my right as a voracious online tabloid reader.
Please don’t let it be Tom Hanks, which was the name that sprung to my mind. I’d die inside.
Kabuki Sanji is pretty boss.
Sorry about your kitty <3
I binged the first 6 seasons throughout December, right after our cat died. It was so comforting and so soothing and one of the only things that made me laugh. Sue & Mel are at least 60% of what makes the show great. So sad right now.
I’m legitimately upset over this. I’ve been binging on the bake off the last couple of weeks and there’s no way the can possibly replace Mel and Sue, they are half of what make that show so great. This blows y’all
agreed. you can even make a somewhat decent argument for “wrongs darker than death or night” (though it’s time travel/orb stuff and not induced memories). kira gets the one thing she always wanted, more time with her mother at an age at which she could actually remember and appreciate it, only to learn her mother had…
I would say the Visitor is probably closer to being DS9's parallel since it actually does take place over decades as Inner Light did and has the same sense of bittersweet loss. Although Far Beyond the Stars is my favorite DS9 episode, and probably my favorite Star Trek episode overall.
*Spoilers for a first season episode*
I have an MAT in German, so my familiarity with Holocaust literature and film is pretty vast. Duet is one of the best Holocaust stories I’ve ever seen.
It also had the greatest character development of any Trek show. There almost isn’t a single character in that show that didn’t go through some very fundamental changes over the course of the run. The best example of that is probably Bashir and O’Brian. I mean, they go from a very one sided feud with Miles absolutely…
I love DS9 the most because of all the great relationships the main cast of characters (as well as secondary/guest characters) have with one another. I mean, Miles and Julian’s bromance, Garrack (the best Trek character IMO) and Julian, Nog* and Jake, Odo and Kira, Sisko and Dax, and so on...
Got through the entire article describing why this is the best ST world (I agree, especially after the first 1-2 seasons), and didn’t even have to mention Elim Garak. Well done. Still, he must be mentioned somewhere.
DS9 is easily the best and most consistent Trek series for these reasons. Even Seasons 1 and 2, while not as strong as the rest of the show, are still actually pretty good. Far better than TNG’s early years. Because even when it was slightly slower or a bit more plodding it was building a foundation that carried those…
I will fight anyone who says that DS9 isn’t the best Trek.
When Star Trek fans fight about the best Trek show, nine times out of 10 they’re arguing about the original series…

Wow. 6 Seasons!
2016 sucks even more now because of your post
