I used to love Joss. Really I did. I still love Buffy and Firefly dearly. But even I cannot get past the “no babies means I’m a monster” crap.

As long as they dispense with her awful “Whose baby are you?” theme song from Batman ‘66, I’m good!

I’m feeling much the same these days. At least I still love iZombie and Riverdale.

I had really been hoping Bill was from the 1980s or something. :(

The juice finger is definitely my strongest memory! I remember that the kids were surly to her at first, but eventually she was allowed to brush a girl’s hair. I think she maybe got hit by a car protecting someone, too. Eventually, she went away to a retirement home for electric grandmothers, who would sit around and

I don’t think I ever saw those. I used to love The Last Starfighter and The Neverending Story too, especially the latter.

I am 100% sure that I know all the words to “Let’s Bowl Tonight.” I once paid $30 for a German import of the soundtrack on CD.

Thanks! I’m trying to remember what else I loved around that time... Battle of the Planets was a bit earlier, but man did I love it. Oh, and The Electric Grandmother!

Ooooh! I didn’t know that existed. Thanks for the tip!

HBO was definitely where I saw both Midnight Madness and Grease 2. Probably every day in the summer of 1984 or thereabouts. :)

Do made-for-HBO movies count? If so, I have owned The Worst Witch on VHS since I was twelve and I’m not giving it up, either.

A fellow Grease 2 lover! Let us bond! I also, in recent years, bought Midnight Madness to watch at a sleepover and omg, it was so awful it truly was embarrassing.

I’ve made several friends watch this. I apologize.

Rowsdower!

I remember those days. Weren’t the clip shows called Short Attention Span Theatre or something like that? I still have a couple of VHS tapes of the turkey day marathons.

I’ll give it a try, but I will probably always love Joel the best.

He looks really sad in this pic to me. :(

The manga version of this will be coming out in English in May, if anyone’s interested.
