Truth time— a couple years ago, I found out a friend was a pedophile. Knowing this didn’t suddenly change every aspect of his personality— he was still funny and pleasant— but prison sure as hell did. CK most likely won’t go to prison, but all the sudden loathing and the knowledge that the world has turned on him

Louis CK’s last special is still up there, too.

Not surprising, I’d heard about a third of Patton Oswalt’s Annihilation material on Conan earlier. I’ve stopped watching Conan.

So these WEREN’T the stories about rampant child molestation at Disneyland/Disneyworld?

I admit, the only scary video game I’ve been able to finish was Silent Hill 2. The others — the other Silent Hills, The Suffering 1 and 2, ANYTHING on the computer (as opposed to Playstation or Xbox) — nope, not gonna do it.

For ages, my vision of God was Brian Blessed; with that beard, now it’s David Letterman.

I’ve done my best to remain unaware of anything Corden or Jimmy Fallon do, and I’m glad to see I was right.

Netflixed Angel Face (Robert Mitchum, Jean Simmons, 1952 dir Otto Preminger). Smart, not so intense noir. Simmons looks like a vampire in some scenes, while Mitchum— [enamoured sigh]. Only saw it because Kiss Me Deadly is on permanent “Long Wait”.

Does ANYBODY remember the theme from Gunsmoke? All I recall is a bunch of orchestral stings.

He’s not “naming names” because he’s a young(ish) actor currently in a series who wants to keep acting. Who knows how much power and influence this “Hollywood Honcho” still has.

Now playing

Theme songs that lived on long after the show—

Nothing against the Dudley Do-Right cartoon, but that trumpet theme song REALLY gets me going in the morning.

Gadot never looked away from the script-cards for a minute, and didn’t even try to hide it.

Duh, Patton Oswalt, who got me onto twitter in the first place.

I TOLD you Patton Oswalt shoulda written it.

But now the articles have all gone to hell. What gives with that?

The whole reason they’re pushing this is because their money-men the Koch Brothers are withholding about $400 million in contributions until they finally kill ACA. Always follow the money.

What alternate time-line did we arrive in where Kimmel excoriates specific politicians and bills, and Colbert invites fascist-enabler Sean Spicer on for laughs.

Interesting note from Summer at the end— “You two are always fighting, it’s a miracle you get anything accomplished.” I immediately wondered if that was Meta for Dan and Roland.

The face of an old man longer than I’ve been alive.
