Before all of these latest shenanigans, ActiBlizz was raising eyebrows by hiring some of the worst ghouls from W. Bush’s and Trump’s regimes. Kotick may have been the head of a mere video game empire, but he also has a lot of nefarious, powerful friends.

Sooooo what the actual fuck is going on here, because while Sandberg is certainly no prize, this is the second prominent figure (the first being the fucking GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA) to be outed as trying to protect Bobby K. over the last couple of weeks. And I doubt it’s because he’s amazing in the sack.

Sushi has gotten to the point that even the cheap places are charging “big night on the town” prices. My wife gets sushi fairly regularly from a place in a strip mall next to a Jimmy Johns. If she gets one roll and 5 pieces of salmon nigiri, it’s $40. They are charging $4.25/piece FFS.

the Bloomin’ Onion is a delight & I sure as hell am not making one of those at home

When I first heard the pitch for 24, I actually thought (don’t judge me) they would A: make a good faith effort to be true to the gag and B: be far,far more creative about working within the gag’s restrictions. Like the obvious ones: sleep, travel time, different time zones, bottle episodes, etc. to do something cool.

I don’t think the other guy even read what you wrote. You’re 100% right. I can make a great steak or beautiful seared scallops. I ain’t making no damn bouillabaisse or paella.

Steakhouses are overrated because steak is super easy to prepare if you don’t suck. But this isn’t the case for all fancy restaurants. Frankly, some recipes require annoying amounts of attention or time.

It’s bullshit that a previous judge ruled that the work has to be registered to be protected, because in America, copyright is automatic. You make it, it’s copyrighted immediately. That a copyright has to be registered to be useful is a slap in the face of the intent of copyright protection.

People are always happy to convince someone else to take ridiculous risks. Just tell them to start a food truck business and you’ll be happy to work for them one day a week.

Of the restaurants in my area that are still surviving 2 years later, the majority immediately pivoted to take-out only AND some turned their wait staff into drivers. No stolen cash from ubereats or grubhub, people still stay employed, people still get their food.

I looked into making cookies at home for sale and in my state the rules are so intense it’s not worth it in the slightest.

Guy who was running a couple of pretty popular food trucks in my area just shuttered them and took a job cooking for someone else up country.  Seems like the costs of keeping the trucks on the road were just too much.

So much this right here. I pride myself on being a great home cook, and people always ask me why I don’t become a chef or open a restaurant or food truck. It’s because that shit is stressful, and being a good home cook doesn’t necessarily translate in being a good chef or being able to run a restaurant. Just because

His wording might not be the best but at least he’s honest. Why should we support “crap” restaurants? I’m not wasting my money on bad food, atmosphere or service merely because they employ people. Bad businesses fail all the time and for good reasons.

“Well, just shitholes in a prime position and taking advantage because they’re in a great location, and they’ve got the footfall.”

Kendra was only in THREE episodes? She looms much larger in my mind.

I once spoke to someone who interned on the Buffy set and they said that at the time they found SMG demanding but when they look back on it they realized that SMG was just advocating for a better work schedule and better safety measures and in that time in Hollywood that sort of thing was looked at as being

I’m a breastfeeding mom to an almost 7-month-old, and already getting asked how long I will breastfeed. a) I don’t know, but b) I love the bond it creates between mother and child and c) mind your own business. Thanks for a wonderful (and hilarious) article!

I turned on offline mode pretty fast when I saw I couldn’t walk 100 meters in the first area without some silly message viying for my attention or ghosts running around. For me it’s more immersive if I’m discovering things naturally by myself.

Not that I expect brilliant international relations analysis from Jezebel, but I have to love how for all the complaining about imperialism, this is the most America-centric analysis of Ukraine I have ever seen. There isn’t even a mention of Europe, their over reliance on Russian gas (especially Germany), NATO,
