No. watch lower decks if you haven’t, go back and start another DS9 or Voyager watch through.

And honestly? Feels kind of goofy to end the Avengers story and not find a way to go into a tale for the F4 or the X-men. Right now it’s like “ok they’re setting up...midnight suns? secret defenders? and young avengers?”

The longstanding rumor was that he was going to be a Palpatine clone. And I’m interested by his phrasing here because those rumors also stated that he absolutely filmed scenes for this part that didn’t end up in what they finally released as the film’s theatrical cut

I agree that he misses the ground level aspect of heroes - they do good because they know it’s the right thing to do.

RT score doesn’t hold much weight for me besides if me and the lady are trying to figure out what to watch on a saturday night. I’m definitely gonna watch eternals at some point, but I agree it is very odd that people keep saying “no its racism that’s giving it bad reviews”

this is a bafflingling take. it was leagues better than whedon’s garbage.

I enjoyed it and thought it was good, which isn’t something I felt about MoS or BvS

Hulk is good. It didn’t hit for me when it dropped but watching it as an adult...great rumination on trauma and toxic masculinity.

always enjoyed kumail and it’s great to see him bring his trademark charm to this role

His Justice League was good. I get that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea - I certainly thought it was going to be a bloated turd - but that was exactly the justice league movie I never knew I wanted.

family lore is that one saturday night my parents sat down with my toddler self to watch this movie. They say I had no real reaction to until carrie gets covered with blood, then I started screaming so loud neighbors called the police because they thought something horrible had happened. Apparently the cops thought it

No dog in the fight but I personally hope things work out for Mulaney and Munn. I’ve had friends go through the “new relationship-fast pregnancy-break up-lets figure out how to coparent” thing and it’s a special kind of torture (sometimes!) that I wouldn’t wish on most people

in what world was naming a character after an employee like this considered a good idea? all allegations of bad behavior aside - it just seemed like something anyone could’ve said was a bad idea long term

it is insane to me that there’s a contingent of people who are against hard term limits. I’ve been shouted down before because “term limits would lead to a lack of expertise!” because the current system of pols who bend over for their corporate donors for decades before retiring to take jobs with them has been working

I wouldn’t call this a fair assessment. Drivers identities are on record and they’re background checked regularly. We actually used to get a lot of guff because the background checks weeded out a lot of people (shit like, marijuana charges for example) who probably would’ve made okay drivers.

When I was taking these calls we were always told that “safety incidents” amounted to about 2% of all rides, sexual assaults would’ve been a much smaller piece of that. Entirely anecdotal but I struggle to remember a time when I would’ve taken more than 2 or 3 such calls in a week (and kissing/groping were much more

This is really chilling to read as someone who used to take these “safety reports.” Not to get all woe-is-me, but it fucking sucked to get thrown into a role of a de facto rape crisis hotline worker without any real training or guidance beyond “be sensitive and empathetic”

not sure why the CW is so allergic to the concept of a tv movie. would be a great way to pad the lineup midseason

I’m sorry but as soon as they showed despero my only reaction was “fuck off”

honestly I gave up partway through the last season and I cannot tell if its worth catching up
