Going to see WandaVision today. I don’t have a Disney+ subscription (or any other one as it happens) but I took a day off work a few weeks ago so I can go to a friend who used to be from work and we can watch it at his place (he’s very kindly been waiting).

“Every scene is directed the same way, as though it were taking place on Mount Olympus: A wet mop hits the floor like Excalibur,”

RELEASE THE SCHNEIDER CUT!!

I don’t get the “all armour\robots must either be pointy or have as many hard edges as possible” aesthetic. Didn’t we learn in the first transformers movie that it looks like shit?

Warner Brothers spent $70 million to get the film from a C- to a C. I love it.

Also, even if you appreciate the fact that Snyder has his own visual style as a director, I think this sentence really sums up why it never adds up to a compelling experience: “There’s no such thing as a small moment in a Zack Snyder movie.

Fuck that, I want Warner Bros. to give Snyder $70 million every year to make a Snyder cut of any movie he chooses.  Tom & Jerry: The Snyder Cut.  The Meg: The Snyder Cut.  Let’s burn these piles of money to the ground.

How sad is it that the android from 2004's I, Robot still looks better than DC’s Cyborg?

Zach Snyder’s entire career can be summed up like this:

Hey, fellow filmwatching fellows! My college friends and I realized that this is one totally boss and radical experience. Can’t wait to spend tomorrow watching it again! It’s lit af.

To be fair, Falcon and the Winter Soldier premiers the day after ZSJL does and will inevitably overshadow it.

That’s...um. That’s what this week’s episode of John Oliver’s show is addressing. I imagine there are also sports writers out there who are currently writing about a baseball game while mentioning (gulp) baseball players, baseballs, and bases.

Hey we don’t tolerate that kind of language here.

That’s really odd. It’s not like they said “Belgium”.

“Oh sweet! They sent it on a Pokemon themed one! I’m keeping this!”

Yes.  The two halves of my brain are warring between “who cares, the English language only exists because enough people kept mispronouncing German” and “this is the stupidest fucking thing ever.”

Not the same thing at all. Watching it on a iPod is more or less the same thing as watching it on a phone. Yes, the screen is small, but you can play the movie in reasonable resolution and framerate. Watching it on a Gameboy is another thing altogether. Plus this guy actually created actual gameboy cartridges. Feel

Trick question. It takes 16 bits.

From an article about movies reopening in Nyc and a vaccinated journalist who attended one - “Most people in the theater on Saturday enjoyed the experience without snacks, and kept their masks in place, but my row-neighbors took off their masks immediately upon settling in, ostensibly to sip their beverages, and then

HURR IN MY DAY THE BLOGS NEVER USED A PHRASE TWICE AND GOT SUED UNTO OBLIVION FOR POSTING VIDEOS OR WRESTLERS BEING RACIST, AND THEY WERE PROUD OF IT!!!
