We need a movement to persuade Jon Stewart to step down. It’s clear he is no longer fit for the job. His memory is clearly failing him if he doesn’t remember this:

This article is loaded with great news but the best thing of all is NO MORE GODDAMNED KINJA!!!!!!!
I said this just the other day, but the reason the press keeps talking about Joe Biden’s debate performance is because he hasn’t done anything else scandalous since then. Convicted Felon Donald Trump’s strategy is to have a new scandal every 27 hours so that the press can’t focus on any one thing for too long.
I enjoy the unspoken joke of a guy who looks like Arnold Schwarzenegger going through life pretending to be an unassuming software salesman and everyone just buys it.
The return of a proper AV Club is giving me a proper AV Chub.
Between JD Vance and Aileen Cannon, there’s batshit insanity happening roughly every two hours.
Welcome back, Danette (which is, incidentally, my middle name!), and congratulations on the position! And welcome back to Rabin and co. Really excited to see what all this brings for AVClub.
This all rules
The worst part is probably his terrible actions.
I genuinely hope Red Hulk roars “get off my plane” at some point.
I genuinely feel like Shrinking reinvigorated him. That was the most engaged I’ve seen him in any project in a very long time.
The original Captain America trilogy is easily the best and most rewatchable of all the MCU output, so this has a high bar to achieve. But it feels very promising that this appears to be going back to the “genre film stuffed into a superhero” mold that those films did so well. And Mackie is great in this role. Fingers…
apparently the “Sound of Hope” part of the title was only tacked on when Angel Studios acquired it for distribution (to boost sales by association with Sound of Freedom.) certainly they know their branding: “Possum Holler” could be a movie about anything but “Sound of Hope: The Story of Possum Holler” is instantly…
Disappointed. I thought this was going to Keenan sharing the desk with a Max Headroom knockoff doing the daily recap.
I worked on this film. We shot it 2 years ago. Then about a month or 2 ago Daily Wire swooped in and started claiming the film. Claiming to a distributer. Angel And Peace tree started sponsoring ads by the likes of Candice Owens and Ben Shapiro. The fact that that they tried to use a story about a southern black…
That does sound like a great essay, albeit a little on the short side.
Some people here don’t realize that the reason our company imploded was due to gross mismanagement. Once CSSE acquired our company at Redbox we began the spiraled decent. Yes in part It had some to do with the market. After years of fighting studios including lengthy Disney lawsuits, Redbox resolved those lawsuits but…
See, now this really does feel like the AV Club of yore. An article where the writer has clearly had to suffer, significantly, for many many hours, in order to put together a retrospective that’s so much more insightful than the relative crap it’s covering deserves that the contrast is staggering.
