Well, so far it’s been the case that Apple makes insane profits off of the overpriced goods and services they sell to me, and most other corporations make insane profits by selling my “anonymized” data to other corporations, so I’m kind of happy with the evil I’ve got right now.

I was under the impression that a grand was not an outrageous price for a top-of-the-line smartphone. How much did they cost before this one?

Hardly anybody buys smartphones straight up. A 128GB iPhone 7 plus was like $850 when it came out. All this really will cost is like $10 extra a month with whatever plan you’re using
