Get the hell off my lawn, punk!

I suspect (as a native New Englander transplanted to Ohio for five decades) that “Midwestern” pizza is simply a hypolocalization for a generic idea of pizza. The pizza of my youth (Boston’s North End and environs) was greasy, tasty, and thin-crusted (Not unlike, dare I admit? “New York style”). The pizza I encountered

I often find it “fun” to drive, and more often to ride my motorcycle. Maybe you live in an awful place, surrounded by distracted drivers, all plodding along slowly on a highway intended for 70 mph commuting by only one fifth of the cars it now has to carry. But that is not my experience.

Neutral:

Marx observed that history repeats itself “the first as tragedy, then as farce.” The Aztek was originally and almost universally decried as the ugliest and most misbegotten bad idea to have rolled out of Detroit in decades. Has it now earned an appreciative and comedic second look?

Clarkson certainly believed his own cleverness placed him well above the norms of human behavior. he felt he had a decade, never mind a moment.

You can say a lot about Jezza, but not that he has the right stuff. Or that the phrase “the Right Stuff” was coined to describe him.

Yes, but that “except for particulate matter and NOx” problem is a significant one. One that governments could not ignore, since in the Civilized World, governments were financially responsible for the health effects of those problems.

Brie The runnier, the better. (The cow’s milk cheese; not the actress)

This Supra unveiling is ever more feeling like Geraldo’s Al Capone’s vault hype.

The cars are “weak” at road courses. The NASCAR racers have the classic fish-out-of-water problem. Their overall design is for stability at high speed. Within the limits of NASCAR’s rules, they’re competently engineered, but they are still too big and too heavy to execute the kind of quick transients road racing

If you’re not in a rush to get to the next stoplight, it’s a nice, comfortable, thoroughbred ride. It has a pronounced Hoffmaster kink. And Chris Bangle (love or hate) never touched it.

Having come to be aware of racing during the era of the P4, GT40, Lola GT, etc, I have long felt that modern race cars look ungainly and graceless. But they are fast. Fast matters and even ACO/Le Mans doesn’t award style points.

TL;DR Was she unaware that Judge Kavanaugh, not Dr. Ford, was the subject of scrutiny as the person hoping to get a lifetime job where he could disregard the rights of women on a whole-gender scale as opposed to one-at-a-time assaults?

Is it that NASCAR drivers can’t turn right, or that NASCAR can’t design a track with right turns? Either way, it was pathetic.

That is not my father’s Oldsmobile.

E.g. 2d Gen Corvair.
