No. You must have mistaken me for someone else.

Clearly, the officer felt threatened. (They feel so easily threatened, don’t they?)

1st Gear: Dieselgate

Yeah, people talk about “range,” but the real concern is time. When charging time comes down, I’d consider an electric vehicle. Most days, I drive fewer than 100 miles. (I often have to travel for my work.) But when I go on vacation I might want to cover almost 1000 miles in a day.

Doesn’t this really belong in The Takeout?

On the one hand: Dozens, (more depending on how far back you want to look) of black men (and some women) have been shot to death by police under highly questionable circumstances (that’s a euphemism for “murdered in cold blood.”) The almost universal excuse has been “I felt threatened.”

You can’t beat a CVT for sweet, smooth sensuality.

Crack pipe.

Really?? I’m an old white man and I got that one!

“Brand snobbery has become Porsche’s raison d’etre”

An ex-Marine AV-8B jockey I worked with swore by his Geo Metro convertible.

Mr. Sanchez has gone from the NYY catcher-for-the-next-decade to the NYY DH-in-waiting.  Giancarlo can play in the outfield.

Worldwide, how many “feeder” series are there? Does it make sense to have a bunch of second (or third) level open-wheeled series with different spec chassis and engines? Decades ago, FJr, F3, F2, and FA/5000 all had fairly uniform (the SCCA FB class was, for all purposes F2 but slightly cheaper to run) requirements,

Bernie likes Trump.

Can we expect a ruling of death by suicide (doors?)

Win on Sunday, fold on Monday.

Tale tragedia!

Elon Musk is as pretty far from an anarcho-syndicalist as you can get. (I may have over-simplified when I labelled my personal politics.) I would not own a Tesla right now, because I frequently make trips of 400+ miles between the Great Heartland and the Effete Eastern Snob-infested coastal cities. Even a round-trip

I see what you did there.

Yeah, but 100 years ago the gasoline distribution network was just getting started. As ardent an anarcho-syndicalist I might be, I have to concede that, if there’s money to be made, capitalism will make [fill in the blank] happen.
