I know I’m a bit of an outlier, but there is no car I would never drive. They all have something to offer, even if it’s how bad they are. If I could be given a different car every three months with the only promise that it wouldn’t break down, I would take the deal.
Ah, you’re right. I’ve forgotten about that because I see so many manual-swapped 540i’s on Bimmer Forums. I personally like my E39’s with automatics, just because I see them as more of a comfortable cruiser than a hardcore sports car. If I want manual sportiness I’ll just get an M5.
