Used to work at a CJDR/Alfa/Maserati dealer, I’m a nerd so I started noticing all the similarities between buttons, screens, etc., but I think the biggest one for me is that when you’re walking away from your $75k Maserati and hit the lock button the horn sounds EXACTLY the same as a Grand Cherokee.

You do realize that you are literally providing anecdotal evidence against a whole lot of data, right?

Also the Evoque has never been the one people complain about and you know it.

I really never understood the appeal of these things. I’ve driven a bunch of Maseratis lately, a mix of QPs and Ghiblis. The QP kinda feels special in higher spec, but the Ghibli really doesn’t.

They make a cool noise and they have a nice badge. Other than that, it just feels like a Chrysler 300 to me. For less than

I was going to say something salty then thought better of it. This comment occupies my salty comment’s spot.

Pay no attention everyone!

As this is a blatant marketing gimmick by a company I’m really sick of, I should hate this. I should really hate this.

God I wish I hated this. I kinda like it.

It’s definitely not something I want to spend much time worrying about, lol.

I keep seeing a Diamante wagon near me! Total unicorn. I don’t remember even seeing those in the 90s.

Ah, well, as I said, enthusiast hat lol

This is really not specific to Nissan dealerships at all.

The Frontier is a funny one. The Tacoma gets all the hype, the redesign, the MARKUPS AT DEALERS (seriously), and the Frontier is the same as it’s always been.

And you know what? I still see them as basically equal in their lack of appeal. But if you want an outdated, under-powered, low tech truck that’s surprisingly

Anyone who cares about being seen in a penalty box can just lease some kind of entry-level German luxury car. That’s been the standard for a while now, so it’s unsurprising that nobody is stepping up to the plate to spend money to try and change that.

I think Mazda is closest to making affordable cars that people

lol aren’t those like $70k trucks? I should hope it’s comparable to luxury cars.

That’s actually largely not true. Base model vs. base model the equipment is exactly the same. The only real difference is that GMC has more luxurious trim levels available than the equivalent Chevy. But Yukon SLE vs. Tahoe LS is the same truck with different styling.

I do like Nissan’s interiors lately. As for the rest of the cars? Meh. Nissan doesn’t make anything I’d buy. They might as well switch to an all-crossover lineup since they don’t seem to want to invest much money in their enthusiast offerings.

Pretty much all of their models, too. The Galant used to be super rad. The mid-2000s watering-down choices were truly what killed Mitsubishi. It may have been a reaction to poor sales, but all it did was drive a couple big boring plastic nails into their coffin.

*Sigh*

I can’t believe I’m defending the 3rd Gen Eclipse here...it did not have Chrysler Sebring underpinnings, the Sebring coupe was based on the Eclipse while the other Sebrings used their own platform. This was never a Chrysler design. For whatever that’s worth.

They were definitely clones. Pretty sure when these movies came out those cars were seven figures.

You act like the people who will buy these things need trucks in the first place.

It’s almost like all of this is done for marketing purposes and none of these companies actually give a shit about causes or whatever as long as they can sell their products.

You could be right. How’s the steering feel? That’s one of my main gripes. I drove an M24oi and wasn’t super impressed.
