It’s -literally- a completely different platform, though. It’s not a RWD ES. RWD doesn’t make something automatically sporty.

I got a dude pulled over at 3am for his 3rd DUI. I didn’t feel too bad about snitching since he basically ran me and a few other people off the road.

Buy my GTI. It has 91k miles and some issues! But carbon buildup is taken care of and it’s manual. 

To be honest, I sometimes smash the limiter in 1st in my Miata because it feels like it wants to go to 9k. You don’t NEED it but power delivery in some cars makes it useful. 

Aren’t manuals in most modern cars a fruitless exercise that ultimately makes a worse performing vehicle? I still like mine.
