I was brought up in a Ford family. Every vehicle we had from 1989 (Ford Bronco) until I left for college (2001 Ford Winstar) had the blue oval. My first car was a 1996 Taurus, then I got into a 2002 Escort ZX2 (I miss the hell out of that little manual).

Not available in USA / Canada. :-)

The government didn’t mandate that Ford kill off all of its affordable offerings. Ford was simply following the cynical “build less, charge more” pricing model that a number of car manufacturers thought they could get away with in the wake of pandemic supply chain issues.

wait, why the fuck do they have arms on each other’s shoulders? THEY ARE FUCKING OUTSIDE, they are not breaching any building. They literally see the poor guy in front of them.

I mean, I’d be happy to just ban all guns but I don’t think that’s gonna happen any time soon, despite mountains of evidence for it’s efficacy in reducing violent crime and improving police relations.

Can we also talk about how the UK Corolla is available as a hatchback and wagon (no sedan), and both of those options get the hybrid treatment. In the US, the hybrid option is sedan only.

Svend is talking about the complaints about Denver. The one person with 73% of the complaints lives 30 miles from the airport.

Holy Shit! Did you tip the Jalop staff on this? Sounds like a great article.

They Ballin!

That’s a lovely paint scheme.

All of these varieties are French, a notoriously tricky language for Americans to get right”

We use those out here in the farm filled mountains of New England, but they’re all mostly custom done jobs...you know because American trucks are for the image of working class, not actual working class.

We have those in the states, you just need to order the truck without a bed and take it to one of the many shops that build farm trucks...

Yes there is - the manufacturers don’t want to sell a cheap truck in the US that can do the work of the overpriced full sized cash cows they sell now. You will never see this or the 20K Toyota truck for the same reason.

Just another example of how Europeans are smarter than Americans. That is a much better tool to get actual work done if you need to haul messy oversized things and load and unload them easily. American-style pickup trucks are actually fit for very few purposes.

I would literally trample you on my way to the dealer if that was available Stateside.

If you were Spain, would you want them back? I hear Mexico is on the verge of paying for a wall just to keep Texans out.

Like the thing about the classic Roman pastas is that if you add or delete any ingredient from it, you get a different one. Like you start with Cacio e Pepe and if you add guanciale you end up with Pasta alla Gricia, if you add egg to that you get Carbonara. If you added something to your Carbonara, you’d have to call

Their message was far too kind. Not nearly enough “fuck offs” and “We’re not your personal chef. Eat it or don’t.”  Way too many entitled douches out there in the world. Got to start shaming them more often to reign in this behavior.

I’ve seen one of these in the states and I thought it looked great. It reminded me of mint ice cream
