Union Pacific: lays off security and doesnt lock doors

It is way too easy to get your driver’s license in this country. We need laws that requires more skills behind the wheel and actually keep checking our driving skills well into old age. Just one day of driving around Florida will demonstrate the need for better driver training for new and older drivers.

The Up slots in well below the Golf - it’s two sizes down from it, with the Polo filling the gap.

All the gun nuts in this country act like we live in a 3rd world country yet scream it’s the greatest place on earth. I come from a military family and none of them wanted to carry a gun all the time.

I’ve been around firearms most of my life. I learned to shoot when I was 10 and later spent 20 years in the Navy, where I was an expert shot with both pistols and rifles. That said, I have never, ever felt the need to carry a weapon on me while going about my daily life.

Come again? A Texas dealership where all the workers didn’t pull out their Colt revolvers and pump him full of lead? Say whut?

Probably just another proud patriot spreading his message of freedom to the dealership.

Yeah, she was a stuck up witch who spent any school breaks in England. I guess she’d have been better off living there and teaching German to English. She considered any English that was not Oxford English to be an insult to the “real English”.

Actually I wish Jalopnik was a bit more “international”, allowing Brits, Aussies, Canucks and so on to use their own spelling, and also putting metric units alongside imperial. Maybe give a quick automatic “translation” link somewhere for the most obscure terms, but overall I think sharing and mixing the different

Our local Lidl mostly goes for the imports, but Aldi can be relied on to provide something more domestic.

Tesco  even.

Plus there’s the plumbing behind those taps.

The venison didn’t cost much and a handful of cranberries would hardly break most peoples budget.
