A lot of chip shops do a kids meal but many will serve anything that can be fried of they can make fried such as pizzas, mars bars, Creme Eggs, etc...

Go for it.

Lol. Deep fried aubergine................................. in Scotland?

Ye’, it’s something rarely seen up here in the north.

Some chip shops call them ‘munchy box’s.

Very few places do saveloys any more. Shame.

Ye’, up here in the north we used to be more ales and bitters, the craft beers are taking off but there are just so many vying for space.

I was going to put a picture in the other post. Here it is.

Just got back from work. We’ve a four pack of McEwans for £3.99 and 12 pack for £10.

The cellars of the pubs here in the U.K. tend to be about five degrees C below that of room temperature on average so yes, the bees have a slight chill without being refrigerator chilled.

Nice one.

That’s bang out of order on so many levels.

Try selling it as ‘a traditional British country pint’.

As the old say goes, ‘when in Rome, do as the Romans do’.

We do Courages in bottles and Directors in cans and bottles.

It’s just such a shame that the traditional pint of bitter has gone so long underappreciated.

It’s 12x440ml for £10 at the moment.

The U.S. has historically looked down on British beers and ales as ‘warm beers’ and ‘bad tasting’, yes they aren’t chilled but tend to be just colder than room temperature and the ‘bad taste’ isn’t because it tastes bad, it just has more flavour and more body than chilled beers and lagers.

Bitter gets ignored a lot with all these craft beers coming out of IPAs, wheat and amber ales, etc... but for many years it was the staple of many a pub here in the U.K.

It’s a great drink for lazing around the house or watching sports with as it has flavour, isn’t as gassy as many beers nor does it make you want to pee every half hour.
