Surprised to see that there’s still no Pact of the Blade fix for having to reactivate it after each long rest to actually get to use your spellcasting modifier instead of the default for the weapon.

From the timing of this I’m going to wager they’re in the process of getting permission to sell it somewhere more conservative. The game’s been in early access for years and they outright built ‘it’s the horny game’ into their marketing. Even if it was a mistake at first it’s one they had to be aware of and chose to…
Damn. I’ll never understand speedrunners, it’s a completely alien mindset from how I approach games and gaming (not better nor worse, just different), but I can certainly appreciate the skill involved and the results achieved.
They’re mechanically good and maybe things work better storywise later on but it just stood out.
The main draw (I’m assuming) is that they combo better since they share a primary attribute with Bards, Warlocks, and Paladins.
I wonder if they’re only counting starting or ‘primary’ class. If not I’m surprised Fighter is so low since a lot of power builds want a two level dip into it for Action Surge.
Githyanki being the lowest race doesn’t surprise me (though Astral Knowledge is great). Sadly they also don’t play that great storywise so far…
With numbers that small, among such a large player base, it wouldn’t surprise me if most were speedrunners getting started on whittling down the completion time.
I’m sustaining some suspension of disbelief by headcanoning it’s all due to the tadpole connection fucking with heads and thoughts. We’re not just trauma bonding but mentally linked as well.
I hope they eventually put in the high level mechanics, even if no accompanying campaign, so the mod community can play with them.
If it is trained on (only) your modules, to run your modules, and is not being used to replace artists and writers when it comes to creating new modules then this would be the one realm where I am potentially ok with this.
Do I think they’re going to be that ethical about it, given the companies involved: Nope.
While I enjoy the gnashing of teeth of those who hate any powerful female character, yeah, this whole show was poorly plotted and this is either going to get swept under a rug and forgotten, quickly nerfed, or power leaps the entire universe to the point things will have to get ridiculous.
I feel so bad for the creatives who were almost certainly overworked, underpaid, and forced to crunch just to churn out ‘blurry CGI finale piece #X’ that all Marvel shows now require.
This has just been an utter flop from start to finish.
Damn they *really* pulled it off. I knew it would be a decent joke/gimmick episode but they merged the two, and their respective tones, perfectly.
I feel for the actors. Having to quasi-scab (quasi since the union recognized the situation) for something that has good odds of never actually seeing final light of day.
I know it’s not your choosing Cheryl but there is no way I’m reading recaps in slideshow format. It’s bad enough in listicle articles but this is going way too far with it.
Sorry, have fun reviewing the show though.
It’s kind of amazing to see the AMPTP going full mask off between this and the ‘we don’t care about negotiating, once they’re homeless they’ll cave’.
You think they’d at least *pretend* to care to garner public support.
I love the little detail of Chapel demanding that Ortegas and Uhura turn around while she professed her love of Spock despite them being the ones who were pushing her to finally just say it out loud *and* the fact that it was a verbal declaration so it didn’t matter if they were looking or not.
I am not well versed in either Afrofuturism nor African cultures in general so I’m sure plenty went over my head but I still really enjoyed almost all of these. I highly recommend checking them out even if you think it might not be your thing unless you’re staunchly anti-animation.
Whoever decided that child-Clark’s shirt would have the ‘cool 90s S’ deserves a raise.
I had my doubts from the start since they took ‘expansionist empire infiltrating superheroes’ and turned it into ‘refugees turned terrorist spy fare’ but the worst thing is that it’s also boring and the spycraft is poorly done. It’s failing on all cylinders.
