East coast of Canada and they’re commonly just called eclairs even if, as described, they very much are not actual eclairs.

Yeah not a fan of ‘because we can’ as opposed to ‘because it makes it better’ when it comes to things like burgers. The Tornado Twists one is a little overkill but acceptable (if it tastes good) and I’ll give a pass to the Hot Chicken one since the onion rings are more about fancy plating than impacting the sandwich…
Steak fries are the easiest fries to do *very* badly. That’s the main issue. A good steak fry is amazing but finding a good one is rare.
Plus if you’re going that big of fry you might as well go all the way to wedges.
I agree with the concept of ‘balance over time’ not ‘balance always’ though that said the first few levels of a game are really where you should be aiming for things to feel balanced since they have the greatest impact of retaining new players.
Either that or make sure that choices that are challenging in the early…
Maybe I’m just blind but it seems weird to sing the praises of something and not actually link to it?
She also *didn’t* make the choice to die. They never even presented it to her.
Yes Ellie would almost certainly choose to take the risk, and then we could argue the morality of if she was in the right space to do so, but she wasn’t given the option of informed consent - just a sweet lie.
Does Joel go overboard in reclaiming Ellie: Yes.
Love the symbolic choice of using Ashley for the mother.
“Are you telling me that Bo-Katan just sits there in full armor on an uncomfortable looking throne in a big, empty, cold castle all day every day?”
I mean I’ve definitely had that depressive episode. Well, minus the armor....
Honestly at this point I’m surprised people pre-order at all. I’m exponentially more surprised that those who do pre-order would still trust Gamestop with it.
‘High fantasy nonsense’ is the entire basis of Star Wars though. It’s a farmboy finding out he’s the chosen one and being given a magic sword by his wise mentor to fight a dark villain.
Yes, they’ve started to move away from it somewhat with things like Andor but the majority of the time you’re not going to escape it…
Their leader is dead and their food supply, whether they knew what it was or not, is burning to the ground. Likely they’ll splinter off and go their own ways trying to survive.
Yeah humans, good and bad, are the story. The infected are just a plot device.
I’m surprised anyone thought David was good from the start. It’s a safe bet, in any genre fare, that the person spouting scripture is going to be sinister. It would be more shocking to turn out otherwise.
Yeah that was my thought. The headline made it seem like a big issue with the show itself but, honestly, two abusers out of a hundred people is low odds in general even before we factor in the type of people the show is based around.
Oooof. I had originally only heard complaints about the in-universe propaganda which was easy enough to let slide as the counterpart to Fallout’s Americana.
But the rest, yeah, that’s pretty fucked.
Generally I find the infected/zombie debate to be pedantic and boring.
‘I knew what I was doing was wrong enough that I threatened to kill myself if they spoke out... but, no, no purposeful wrongdoing.’
What a fucking asshole.
I’m glad there’s new levels but, please, give us a full, new Katamari.
I think we need to ask if they deserve saving before we bother with how to do so.
As the article says they’re too expensive, often smell disgusting, and rarely taste or feel much like what they’re replacing.
They’re a good concept but the execution isn’t there yet.
There’s countless vegetarian and vegan dishes that are…
