Checks and balances have, sadly, proven to be as real as unicorns.

Yeah the desire they have to do a heel face turn with Melanie is completely unearned. She is not a hero and I don’t think they’ve done enough with her character to ever make her a hero. She would have been better suited for a redemptive death, at best, even if that would be a waste of Jennifer Connelly - but then…

I enjoyed it and I’ll miss it but I’m glad they’re not going to try and forcefully drag it out. There didn’t seem to be a lot left to cover that felt like they really had their hearts set on covering.

While not as great as the first part it was still a solid episode. I have to give Pat credit for his plan even inf the time issues are wonky - it’s a very solid excuse to cover superhero injuries. 

This was definitely the best episode of the season for me. Great actors playing strong characters with a solid plot. The story feels like a good Twilight Zone take using sci-fi/horror to illustrate human monsters and failings on topical matters. Plus the buildup of dread and eventual cathartic moment when she punches…

I’d say this was definitely the most ‘Twilight Zone’ of these episodes of The Twilight Zone. I could definitely see this having been part of the old series run.

Great acting, ‘meh’ story. Not as bad a waste as Ovation and I think it is a bit better than 8 but definitely near the bottom. 

Definitely one of the weaker (I think I agree with Ovation being the weakest). It’s not horrible it just could be so much better.

I swear Greta Lee is suddenly everywhere - and I highly approve.  

Courtney definitely recognized Cindy. I could believe Cindy was self-absorbed enough not to recognize Courtney until Pat started yelling her name. 

This show continues to have far better characterization and choreography than I ever expected of it. That’s not to say some characters aren’t frustrating and annoying - but the traits that make them that way are grounded in their characters and make sense for them.

I do enjoy that this season they’re willing to go with shorter episodes and not always relying on a stinger. But, yeah, this was the weakest link of what I’ve watched so far.

Definitely not worth watching unless they get another season. It was all buildup and no payout. 

Well that was something... and by ‘something’ I mean ‘absolutely nothing’. Nothing really happened at all this season and the things that did, like her death, did not actually *do* anything. It was all set up for a future season that may never occur.

I’ll accept coconut cream not winning solely because you included the caveat of ‘unless you want things to taste like coconut’. If you do like things tasting like coconut then it definitely comes out on top. 

Those opening credits were amazing. The episode was mainly setup but that opening made it all worthwhile.

I only see a use in those annoying places that think a ‘good burger’ is made by piling every trendy food item between one bun until it’s too large to eat unless you can unhinge your jaw like a snake and tastes nothing like an actual burger. Batman if Batman was the gym coach you hated. 

Sportsmaster will always be hokey as hell - but they at least made him *impressively* hokey. That was some great choreography and cinematography for the fight scenes.
