I work in one of those factories. The constant threat of voting in a union is the only thing that keeps management honest. None the less, our raises don’t keep up with inflation and our benefits continue to decline.

Not a huge fan of the UAW in particular, having spent 20 years in the auto industry. I do not agree with everything they stand for, and it is deplorable that the union officials are living large off the backs of their constituents.

I went out of my way to buy a 2018 GTI SE because it had tartan and the 2019 SE which was at most dealers had been “upgraded” (I call BS) to leather. 

I like that they are doing cloth seats. Because all hot-hatches should have the option of manual transmission and cloth seats (preferably plaid).
