You can train a person on a lot of stuff in 10 years. You can't train a person on patience, compassion, discipline, and tolerance.

Ugh, mine too. I can feel my fingers falling asleep just thinking about trying.

Agree. I recently watched the movie I Origins where the lead actress' (very beautiful) eyes were shown up close a lot and I LOVED that you could see her dark circles and everything, they didn't have her in a ton of makeup. Beautiful eyes that look real are where it's at.

Oh, I had the biggest girl-crush on Rebecca Gayheart! I wanted to look just like her.

Benefit erase paste because I'm old and could put a week's worth of groceries in the bags under my eyes. With concealer, erase paste is the bomb on dark circles/bags. I also got the new Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. It's a tinted moisturizer/sunscreen that can be worn alone instead of foundation for light

I boldly forego Photoshop at work every day. Where's my hero award?

CASSIEBEARRAWR AND ADULTOSAUR THE SERIES.

No.

i have a lot in common with these bags as i also have nipples

Haha, yeah that is a great idea! I technically got paid for this because I did it at my old shitty job. Because editing word documents looks like I am actually doing something. Haha.

You know what else goes south? The ability to see everything in black and white terms. The ability to speak with authority about shit you know nothing about, like aging and what constitutes cool. Knowing you are right about everything. God, I miss that.

Yay for thoughtful moms!

When my parents divorced, my mom had the stones from her (non-heirloom) engagement ring re-set into a necklace for me. She gave it to me on my 16th. :)

I felt the same way, but my boyfriend really wanted to get me a ring, so we ended up getting that shit designed by a jeweler. This is the ring I ended up with, which is both SO MUCH PRETTIER and SO MUCH CHEAPER than a real engagement ring.

I have worked under both men and women. You know what I've found? Some managers are crazy, some aren't. Some women managers are catty pieces of shit, some are perfectly reasonable human beings. Some male managers are unhinged gossipy lunatics, some are just fine and dandy. There is no sexed approach to crazy.

I will

I have enjoyed working for men. I have enjoyed working for women.

Interviewed a (female) candidate for an assistant position (to a female manager, clearly spelled out in the job description). I am female. Female manager is in the interview. Asked applicant which managers she preferred from her work experience, male or female. Looked us both in the eye and said she preferred men,

Oh, young Val. I think I attained puberty while watching him in Willow.

My husband and I talked about it before we got married. We were both undecided. And we've only been married for 9 months, but of course the topic comes up all the time because people think it's appropriate to bring this up. And as time is going by, I go more and more towards no and I think he's going the other way.
