They’re not saying “if you don’t follow this road map, you can’t get back in”- they’re pointing out that CK, Lauer, et al. haven’t even taken any of these fairly obvious steps that might demonstrate contrition and an understanding of what they’ve done and WHY IT WAS WRONG (both of which are important in making sure

There is absolutely no way that Pence isn’t deeply compromised in all of this. Remember, he oversaw the transition and either knew about Flynn being compromised (in which case he is as tainted as anyone else in the current administration), or should have known (in which case he’s negligent and/or incompetent). Either

This is (also) a common demonstration in abstinence-only sex ed. You unwrap a hard candy, pass it around the classroom, then ask if anybody wants the candy now. (Message: sex makes you dirty and worthless.) Another is sticking tape to your arm, then sticking your arm tape to other students’ arm tape, over and over,

Yes. I also liked cougar town but that was a terrible title. I enjoyed that by later seasons, they were ripping on how bad the title was in the opening credit postcard thing.

“These guys need to be careful.”

They’ve already attempted to criminalize miscarriage in several states. Unless you can prove you didn’t attempt to end the pregnancy yourself. >:( How the fuck is this real life?

“It seems like I am totally giving up my personhood, and it shouldn’t feel like that.”

So he voted for the IDEA of a female president, but not for the woman who adopted Bernie’s issues into her platform and had an actual chance to BE president. Cool.

I DO remember that. It was when my parents decided to stop watching it. :( A few years later they’d do the same thing with Ellen’s show when she came out.

I only vaguely remember it, but I always liked her and would watch it even though I didn’t get most of the grown up jokes. My parents stopped watching it when she had the single mother plotline, because god forbid a grown-ass woman with an established career decide to have a kid on her own terms.

Nah Bronn swoops in and saves them at the last possible second. Which will be toward the end of next season because who cares about timelines (not the writers, apparently).

You’re right except about the ‘well-designed’ part. The cast is great and doing the best they can with terrible scripts, and the costumes, sets, and visual effects have always been fantastic. The showrunners have said they are just picking episode-ending scenes and working backwards from there. It’s hack writing:

Also the ‘blood is thicker than water’ quote is widely misunderstood. The full quote is something like ‘the blood of oath is thicker than the waters of birth’ aka it’s the family you CHOOSE, not the family you were born to, that matters. ETA: I am sorry you lost someone you thought you could trust. A lot of us have

When has not being qualified to have an opinion on a subject stopped the average american voter though? :(

We also gravitate toward cities, leaving largely empty (geographically speaking) districts to republican voters, and losing representation in state and federal government. :(

Hell, a few weeks ago, Eric (?) Trump (the one that looks like a Star Trek villain, not the one who looks like the villain from an 80s office movie) said he doesn’t “think of (Democrats) as people”.

There was a smoking gun. The smoking gun was Cosby admitting to all of the facts of the case in his own testimony. He obtained prescriptions of Quaaludes to give them to women. He gave Constand pills (and while we can argue about what they were, he admitted that they cause drowsiness). He did not initiate sexual

The thing that struck me in Cosby’s case (and his daughter and wife’s bullshit statements) was how similar it was to Clarence Thomas’s confirmation hearing- change the narrative from sexual harassment/assault (of black women, no less) to one of racism. It worked 25 years ago, and apparently it still is.
