Gregory regarded the official story(ies) as the product of "lying liars who lie" … everything worthy of skepticism … however, I'm not aware of any "unified (conspiracy) theory" and he didn't appear too concerned that you agreed with him, he was accustomed to folks not agreeing with everything he had to say … part of

I had my copy confiscated in 8th grade by Mr. Hardin (my english teacher) … who thought he was striking a blow against racism, although his utter ignorance as to who Gregory was and/or even a willingness to examine the book in light of my fervent protestations largely belied his concern …

So smart, so quick, so sly, so sexy … really unmatched — imho — by those who are often said to have come after, although Bill Cosby at his best came close before descending for the most part into safer and better paid feel-good homilies. Gregory's sense of the absurd was probably best "carried on" by Carlin … but

I thought he was using the board to provide the necessary cues to keep his elaborate, cast of dozens story straight .. almost a map of these complex relationships — people, places, background, color.

Barbara Kafka's Microwave Gourmet … for those future months of reconstruction with only propane cookstove, microwave and a refrigerator (and a crockpot) She has compiled the secrets for doing things that "can't be done" with a microwave …

I've loved him since Morgan! (a suitable case for treatment) — a true gem of a movie — yum.

maybe they're hoping for some Atomic Blonde related audience, d'ya think? Thank you Av Club for NOT repeating every previous denunciations of this awful-sounding movie (which seems to be a clone of more than one other similar aid-worker romance stink-bomb … one with Angelina Jolie (who's again ready for her closeup)

as if that record could be released today …. yes, I've also thought of it several times in the last 6 months

so, what became of "Today will be Different" that was announced back in December 2016 (and sounded abysmal)

yes, I bought them originally for quick trips outside in the snow (that I might otherwise have done barefoot) … they require no-hands to put on or take off … so I do actually wear them when putting on my snow boots would be "too much trouble" … they dry almost instantly

my feet are so wide they are almost impossible to find shoes that are actually comfortable … before i found Crocs (and I only buy them used) I went' barefoot or wore Birkenstocks (which really don't withstand getting wet all that well and tend to fall off in snow) …
truly, I'm too old to care, but I recommend them

It wasn't "brave" of her to simply avoid the minefield but it may have been preferable to attempting to (somehow) traverse the minefield of making the film to include "the help" and failing … particularly since, I gather, everyone was lying in wait to see if Coppola would "get it right this time" due to some past

thinking good thoughts but it is more scary with each passing day … reminds me when, iirc, Rosie O'Donnell's estranged daughter went walk-about … didn't want to be found, actively hiding out to avoid being "found" and dealing with the drama.

Darn, I was hoping for some backstory on that peculiar photo with Poroshenko in which Trump looks oddly deflated and small, and petulant next to the Ukranian bear-of-a-man who owes his existence and rule (the putch) to American NATO proxyies/backers

yes, and it's being marketed as somewhere between "feel good" and some Moonrise Kingdom knockoff.

sounds like more marketing of vigilantism as a good thing … it's not … never mind how often our "intuition", suspicion and gossip are simply wrong or dangerously skewed by our prejudices … how "convenient" that the sheriff is both white and affluent, rather than some working class guy who chose law enforcement as a

It was fairly astonishing that the clean cut California Classic conservative ($$$$) Beach Boys could and would go "psychedelic" and even (slightly rough edged) in a big way …
The Beach Boy sound was a trademarked as Motown, safe and family friendly. It wasn't the same as the "The Beatles write their own songs" but

no, it's has to do with "the vision" and where it originated ….

Paul's songs all fit so well into some WWIII British homefront nostalgia fest … then and now … with Call the Midwife and Home Fires and Farm Girls …. She's Leaving Hope almost perfectly matches the nighttime small-suitcase escape of a daughter in one of the iconic WWII homefront films … (perhaps to join up with her

As far as I'm aware, Brian Wilson had no George Martin at his elbow (and working long unaccompanied studio hours) to make Pet Sounds "work". From what I recall personality disputes within the band were such that there would likely have been no Sgt Pepper minus George Martin … although possibly a very uneven patchwork
