That’s a very tactical abuser - the random apparently impulse explosions actually serve to keep control the rest of the time. It creates a constant undercurrent of fear and uncertainty. If there is abuse, people who know them denying it isn’t a surprise. Just as most physical abusers don’t haul off and smack their wives in public, same goes for the abuser who prefers emotional and psychological abuse.

Even if you want to say she’s a gold-digger, she married a man who wanted a trophy wife so they’re both users - and it does not justify abuse. And emotional, psychological and verbal abuse are ALL now recognized as just as “valid” as physical abuse.
