You've obviously proven yourself as a very competent and skilled driver. When you first started racing, did you find getting the respect of the other drivers difficult? (And thanks for saving Tully's - Seattle thinks you're pretty great)

Ariel Atom 500. Doors and windshields are for pussies.

Meh. Drove it, passed on it. It's a fun little thing, but definitely didn't live up the hype I was expecting.

What an amazing short film. Thank you so much for posting this.

I have always been amazed with how functional the design of the McLaren is. What is your favorite specific, functional piece you have designed? And thank you for your beautiful work!

I wish I had bought the Camaro.

Now playing

Ah one my favorite videos on YouTube. I typically loop it on the background during parties. Also worth watching if you like Porsche Rally videos, Michele Mouton being awesome as usual:

If I find a dealer markup on any vehicle, I go to another dealer. It's why I've purchased my last 3 cars out of state. If there needs to be more profit above MSRP for a dealer to operate, that's an issue with the manufacturer. Thanks to the internet, I don't have to work very hard to find the same product at a better

I was just talking about this movie to a friend and couldn't remember the name of it for the life of me. I think I saw it on Showtime in a hotel somewhere.

I actually feel bad for the guy. I'm not a fan of burnouts... but I was a kid once. Hope the cop wasn't TOO hard on him.

That's so sad. Poor car!

Seconded.

I had a very similar story with a rotary shop in Redmond, WA that is no longer in business - Hayes Rotary Engineering. I hate that shops like this still exist. Keep us updated on the outcome, Jalopnik!

Since owning one, I never will again. The cost of ownership is far too high for what you get. I could justify spending the cost on a built 951, MAYBE, but for a car that's just plain mediocre it's not worth the cost to own and maintain.

Damn, now that is not crack pipe pricing. That thing is gorgeous. I've had a 944 and a 951, and they both needed a V8.

I had a 93 R1 and had the exact same experience! Ended up going through 3 engines before I sold it to a friend who put a V8 in it, like I should have from the beginning. I tell everyone, if you loved the RX7 but hated fixing it, drive a C6 Z06.

The engine. As much as I love the idea of the rotary, it was plagued with problems. Reliable is not a word you would use to describe the FD.

Yes, absolutely one of my favorites.

Women who have filthy cars, don't maintain their cars, can't drive a manual, or who add stupid accessories like those eyelashes. To each their own on the last part, but the first 3 tell me a lot about someone. Luckily my fiancé' is every bit of a car nut as I am.
