Hubcaps also appear to match up with the SE model:

Pre-facelift, current boddy Jetta, no question. (I think that makes it 2011-2014?)

I’m backing this - the side-mounted amber turn signal in the video clip is definitely coming from the side mirror to be that well-illuminated to the rear. If you’ve driven a late-model VW you know that thing is blindingly bright at night.

Graduated ‘06 from a school district in Upstate New York - no chains, but the very oldest buses in our fleet as late as middle school were stick-shift.

As a Southern Californian I should really know that highway travel times on Google Maps aren’t to be trusted, and yet when I rented a Golf to get from Berlin to Leipzig while on vacation last month for a pre-booked tour of BMW’s plant one afternoon, I was astonished by how awful A9 traffic was.

Can confirm, did SD to Carlsbad and back for two years in a 6MT Focus ST and didn’t hate life. (Hated my fuel bill, though, but that’s different.)

Ric, I feel you, man. I went EV three years ago and I nearly fell off the wagon myself. My old 500e was fine in traffic but it was missing a little something. I gave myself two options: Find a more fun EV (let’s be honest, the Leaf corners like a worn-out recliner) or stick with a basic EV for the commute and find

That’s because Ferrari is much more of a lifestyle brand than an automaker at this point. They only don’t have an SUV to keep their profit margins up today because they rake in so much cash from licensing out their logo.

Early adopters don’t rank rage nearly as highly as you think. I just leased my second EV, a battery-only BMW i3 with 120 mikes of range to replace my 85-mile Fiat 500e. Both have been my only car. I just need to plan ahead to find a fast charger en route but otherwise I can travel anywhere in SoCal just fine.

You know GMG is unionized, right?

So you’re not worried about the fact that middle class income is still on a downward trajectory at all, because the graph’s still showing that quite clearly.

It says these guys are represented by the 701 in the article you’re commenting on. Here’s the link to the AN article embedded in the post.

So you’re okay with people just getting perpetually dicked over by management and having the idea of a guaranteed 40 hour work week disappear into the ether because you think the idea of a union isn’t quite your taste. That’s cool. Enjoy the race to the bottom then.

The employer is illegally refusing to recognize the union, but way to take the side of the employer looking to save a few bucks over the countless mechanics trying to salvage their livelihood.

Because the bosses have the wind at their back now. Nobody at the top gives a shit about the working class anymore.

You’re just thinking of every other new or refreshed sedan being unveiled lately, like the Model 3 and Accord. Buick actually got this right, which is still a weird sentiment to convey.

If the plate size is any indication it’s Japan. Australia and New Zealand are working with plates that are roughly American width and European height.

That’s crap. Electric powertrains are damn near three times as efficient as gas powertrains. Tons of gasoline energy is wasted as heat. The limiting factor with electric cars right now is battery capacity since gasoline has greater energy density.
