Ugh, 55%. Why are there so many Passats? Why is the Bora so big?? Why are there two Volkswagens???

NYSP seemed to have been switching over to the Tahoe en masse a few years ago. I've heard they're testing the Caprice but all the cars I've seen on the Thruway have been about 2/3 Tahoes and 1/3 Crown Vics.
VW likes to donate cars to cities and towns where they have a presence over here. Herndon, VA (VW American HQ) has a couple of Passats too as I recall.
Looks like I have a new favorite at the Hertz lot.
Any internal-combustion engine will never be truly environmentally friendly. You can drive around in your Prii (ugh) and think that you're making a difference but you're still burning dead dinosaurs to travel an increasingly greater distance from your LEED-certified home in the outer suburbs to your LEED-certified…
When I rear-ended somebody when I was 16 (I was being a complete moron and I'd like to think I know better now) I legitimately thought my car was on fire because the airbag dust looked exactly like smoke.
I'm guessing she was driving somebody else's truck, probably one of the other passengers'. If you're used to Japanese lighting controls, American and German ones are really counterintuitive at first, and vice versa I'm sure.
There are enough Model Ss buzzing around San Diego that I do a double-take every time I see that I'm actually passing an XF so you're not alone.
I commend you for considering the CDM alternatives but to me the Civic/EL greenhouses are too big to be what we're looking for.
I'm inclined to support the Protege theory myself too, but in the event it isn't, this is the closest Japanese sedan I can think of. The taillights seem a little wider than the Protege's in the footage and the C-pillar looks more Mirage than Protege, but the Mirage has more of an uneven beltline than the car in the…
My dad got a Honda Pilot as the family hauler shortly after it came out, and between the smooth delivery of its 255 hp on a chassis that's actually pretty responsive for its size and weight, it was pretty fun to toss around. Although that could just be rose-tinted glasses because it was a new fast thing with leather…
First thing I thought of. Can't unsee.
Right, but it would be better if we could avoid targeting efficient car owners specifically and find a solution for road wear that can be fairly applied to all road users. For example, tracking VMT and charging a rate based on actual miles driven (and actual road wear contributed) would be perfect were it not for…
Fact: A small part of my decision (like half a percent) to buy my Focus ST over the FR-S was the fact that the ST was locally sourced (-ish). Built in Michigan, albeit with an engine from Spain and a transmission from Germany, but it didn't need to spend time crossing the Pacific on a ship burning what is effectively…
Pretty sure Armenia doesn't have palm trees or orange LA Metro buses.
