It makes me sad when the monetary constraints mean we end up with an inferior product - and then a story won’t be remade with the right levels of money for some time (e.g. Dresden Files, The Legend of the Seeker). But as you pointed out earlier, the trailer looks a lot better than the stills so maybe we’ll get…

Supreme Leader Snoke is both extremely dumb and yet also kind of cool (I love saying it out loud, the sibilance is delightful). It’s Sheev Palpatine. It’s Poe Dameron. It’s the Crossguard Lightsaber. By which I mean to say, it’s the perfect amount of silliness and coolness blended together that screams Star Wars to me.

Devil’s advocate... is there any reason those three couldn’t be considered in-continuity? They were pretty self-contained, if I remember right.
