No. the choice of using Khan as a character is in the writing...the thing everyone gets shitty about was his attempt to hide it under John Harrison to preserve his reveal. Whether you wanted Khan to be revisited is not at issue.

He chose to make it a reveal. That’s his prerogative as a director. We don’t get to be entitled asshole fans to him when he wanted to keep it a secret. The amount of vitriol heaped on him for that choice is so staggeringly offside that I cna’t even believe peole feel okay defnding it.

I disgree. His Star Trek movies have been better than anything in the older movies since...probably Wrath of Khan itself...everyhting after that (excepting MAYBE First Contact) was crapola. JJ reinvigorated that franchise and he didn’t even really like Star Trek when asked to helm it.

These are Buck Rogers Serial matinee names...as Star Wars has ever been...so I see no reason why Snoke doens’t fit personally. It’s no worse or beter than…

No one is sure is there is a relation...but if I had to guess, I’d say Solo....Luke is not nearly as Stubborn as Han....and if a kid has gone rogue/dark side....it would have to be Hans.

Perhaps you don’t understand the monetary constraints of episodic television? This is MTV, not HBO. They can’t throw buckets of money at the cameras....but what they’ve done is BEYOND impressive for a TV show on a non-pay network.

The trailer looks LOTR-level quality. And for TV that’s even more impressive.

I think that’s why we’ve not seen or heard a whisper of who Max Von Sydow is playing...JJ doesn’t want to havge to lie to us with a name to keep us off the trail or attempt to, and then have Sydow be who we think he might be (Darth Plagueis or Kanan).
