Who says upscale = german? There are a lot of things to like about Germany, but their cars aren’t in the selection.

The whole automotive world is going electric; VW has come up with a brilliant plan that is only twenty years old: make huge SUV’s.

It is not hard buying a ready made lotus with an electric drivetrain, a certain automotive company made one. Now just wrap it in durable plastic and you’re good to go.

Someone already made an electric lotus. Buying the rights to that should be easy, they can use the money making their third car.

The only thing that is so disappointing with these is the interior. Exterior looks amazing (props for “mafia boss presence”) but when you get in the interior is so old fashioned. At least, in my opinion. I almost bought one, but did not because of this. Did own a 300 TDT once for a while, unbeatable, but that dated…

I bought a ‘00 S-Type Executive with 250.000+ km’s on the clock in nice shape, full history for 2000€. This was three years ago. That cat still purrs, I have put about 1000€ into it in maintenance cost. From my Jag loving mechanic, I understand XJ’s are pretty well built as well. Beautiful color, btw.
