I never minded seeing the elantra (called Lantra in the US I think). Not the greatest, but a decent four door sedan (saloon??) that did not break into pieces within one year. A fine basic car if budget is tight. I am an expert in that field, unfortunately.

While I know that Wikipedia is not holy, according to them, the only relation between the Focus and the C30 is the platform used between Ford, Mazda and Volvo, called Ford C1 platform. No references to the performance version(s) either.

The Auris it is based on, is very attractive as the stationwagon, yet the regular hatchback is odd, especially the rear. I always found the Lexus nice looking, but still an overpriced Auris.
