I think calling it "preadolescent" is backhanded and overlooks the central will to power theme of the film. Contrast the violent yet philosophical ending of Conan with the "everyone gets a medal" ending of Star Wars. Typical film critic contempt of genre if you ask me.

I really did not like Norton's Hulk... especially when I watched all the deleted scenes where he really fleshes out his version of the character. But even in the theatrical version. I was super underwhelmed, sadly.
