That's strange, i should say that i don't live near any tall buildings but both my low end optimus v and my midrange Triumph both got me under 10ft accuracy. It took a minute (literally about 60 seconds), but they were both spot on!

I don't know, i'm on an android phone and if there are no buildings around the accuracy is usually down to <10ft. But even with 35ft accuracy, when i compare the speed on my phone to the speedometer in the car (someone else is driving, of course) it's always right on the spot. Then again the phone manufacturer made…
You do realize that his is giving a pure readout of how fast you are traveling and not when you will arrive at your destination? GPS navigation can be inaccurate when it gives an estimated arrival time but this is literally providing a speedometer, just like the one in your car. In my experience it's been extremely…
Same here; i'm 17 and program android apps, so it's safe to say i'm very computer literate, yet i can barely do anything in a command prompt. I can navigate really complicated dialogs with technical jargon like a champ but i still don't need to use the command prompt for anything.
That timeline is total crap! the iPhone didn't launch with countless apps, it didn't even launch with any apps! The app store was released a year later.
I usually tag everyone in the pictures i take, but i also go through the pics before i upload them and delete the ones where people look bad. That's usually enough for people, and if they don't like the picture they can still untag themselves.
These earbuds died on my in about 10 months but they're the best budget earbuds I've ever heard! I consider myself an audiophile and they've got incredible bass response that doesn't distort any of the other sound and the highs stay crisp at high volumes, none of the hissing that lower end headphones have. They are…
I'm sure the article was just a summary and it laid out clearly in the actual new regulations. But I've got more of a problem with the concepts, not the specific number of hours.
I always love to see the government holding businesses accountable for the service you pay for, however i can't help but feel a little sorry for airlines. I'm all behind displaying the fees but delaying flights and having to wait in a plane are almost always due to events out of the control of the airline and usually…
Moto Triumph phone and iPod classic. I've got my phone set up to play all of my media but the dedicated battery on my iPod lets me watch my podcasts without destroying my phone's battery!
Trust me, the only time i call tech support is when i need a replacement or (in the case of my phone) want something done to my service that i am not authorized to do. I usually explain them my problem, tell them I've done extensive troubleshooting, and then tell them what i'd like done about it. Then they walk me…
But is it ok to talk on my ham radio during takeoff and landing?
It's just a desk with a laptop on it! I liked the days when featured workspaces showcased someone who managed to make a productive workspace with a high end computer and a bunch of tech look minimalistic, not someone that cleaned off their desk and put a laptop on it!
I'm on sprint and i actually find that that the coverage map is more conservative than what i actually get. I've been at a friends farm a solid 10 miles away from the coverage on the map and i got fine service.
The desk is passable and the shelves are novel but the whole cardboard wall just makes it look like they're dealing drugs!
It also looks like they've got custom icons for the battery, signal, and data usage. but as @justthedoctor said, it is very rare to have that many icons without checking the notifications and clearing them.
I never actually used them, I've got some OCZ sticks now that work great. But as someone with a giant window in my case and a bunch of led fans i always thought they where a cool idea, but thanks for the heads up, i'll just hot glue some cathodes to normal ram for my next build :)
Even though i own windows 7 I've moved to a pirated version exactly for that reason, i only have 3 licenses and every time i re-install my system i have to make a 30 minute call to Microsoft to get it activated!
I believe when windows encrypts the boot drive it lets you burn a recovery cd that you can use to reset the password. But i would recommend using truecrypt because i know it has a recovery cd option and gives all kinds of obscure encryption algorithms to choose from.
I actually recommend most people check for updates before installing drivers. Windows 7 is great at finding drivers and in my custom pc windows find the most recent drivers for everything and all i manually install is my sound-card software and AMD graphics driver (for good measure).
