it's primarily for people without smooth desks because it gives the mouse a soft and even surface to move over. i don't use a mousepad either but I've used mice (at school) with the pads on the bottom totally worn down and they would have seriously benefited from a mousepad.

If you had dual monitors could i be considered a double rainbow! /rimshot

#corrections in the last sentence of the 2nd paragraph them engine should probably be theme engine.

I'm still a massive fan of Gyazo. It's one click screen capture cropping and uploading and i use it just about every day! [lifehacker.com]

i'm sure someone does, but since they are not as popular they are probably much harder to find and not updated as much. And you could always start ripping the shows with the intention of getting other people hooked and eventually hope that someone likes them enough to start a torrent of their own.

Start doing interesting things on the internet (like videos, tutorials, blog posts, etc.) and mention that people can follow you to keep in the loop and see more fun stuff. btw, @alexkarcher

I used to use my netbook w/ multiplicity as a second monitor for my computer, but ever since i got a second monitor my netbook gets used at school and almost never powered on at home. Besides, two monitors is a lot more seamless than any mouse control solution.

i got both of you, i added site:lifehacker.com to my search

That was quite fun! i always love doing anything that has to do w/ qr codes, and since i waited until i was back from school to start this i guess i'm moderately good at avoiding distractions!

agreed, i just upgraded from a flip phone to a 3.5" smartphone and, although it is more than twice as wide and tall, since it's almost half as thick if feels much smaller in my pocket!

This title is very misleading but i like seeing a workspace with wired peripherals. i personally don't think it's worth it to have a wireless keyboard and mouse if they never move more than 2 feet.

i think this tip was better than the whole story!

I always love these periodical stories that you guys do and as a suggestion i would love it if you guys did a round up of the different editing software. i'm currently using sony vegas and looking to make the jump to a more professional product!

i love lifehacker and i love Rev3! this should work out very well!

i still say the most important is price. i pay $25 a month for 300 voice and unlimited data on my virgin mobile optimus and i love it! Both the data and the voice are a little worse than the major carriers but the 60% price decrease makes up for the 10% speed and quality hit.

i don't know what it is about these but i recently put them around all of my travel cables and whenever i lend one out i always get it back neatly wrapped! it's quite nice.

i seem to remember seeing this workspace featured before... anyone else feeling the deja-vu?

i saw this story title and was like "wow, hak5 just did that a few weeks ago. what a coincidence." then i clicked though and got very happy!

i do random surveys online and although it only takes up about 20 min a week i manage to get about $100 in random gift cards each year. i get paid more by the hour at my job but it's fun to do when i'm messing around online anyway. i should also mention that i use utalkback.com and i got invited by subscribing to

agreed, i always see people with small laptops and a huge taskbar and it makes me cringe. it's almost as bad as people with every toolbar known to man visible on internet explorer. the only reason i keep them enabled on my netbook is because the taskbar is hidden and the larger icons are easier to target.
