It looked to me like large parts of that end sequence was happening simultaneously, so we were seeing the same few seconds from a different angle. I’d have to count the ships to be sure but I want to say I saw the same transport die twice that I caught.
Goofy names are a mark of quantity for JRPGs
I think adding two more quick keys for communication might help. And I’m sure the game is hella fun in league mode or lan play. But I’m still not quite ready for the hellscape that would be public voice chat. Stranger Danger!
I can literally only think of one movie of his where a character did not have a tail.
No love for Digimon: The Movie? Really?? :)
Jokes aside, the one that didn’t resonate as much with me is The Girl Who Lept Through Time. There were some parts that I wonder were lost to me culturally, and I felt the ending could have been stronger. But that’s just MY take on it, and there are so many things that were…
The level of grift in this isn’t nearly elaborate enough. Way back when a ticket/access to E3 was much, much harder to get, a friend of mine faked being the publisher of a new up-and-coming gaming magazine. And she owned it! I mean she went all out. Business cards, a fake investor kit*, a promotional issue #0 of the…
Mamoru Hosoda is on the short list of directors I keep an eye out for. Not all of his movies were for me, but he has an excellent grasp of the craft and his use of family dynamics is often compelling.
WAIT. POP TEAM EPIC has a show? Oh man. I love PTE so much. I was introduced to them via a Popuko t-shirt that had her mid-air with the subtitle: JUMP MOTHER FUCKER JUMP MOTHER FUCKER
Actually it happens a lot when you have games with both PVE and PVP. Some developers tune things to where PVP is king so all changes and tuning are strictly because of the PVP requirements, and other developers apply a PVE buff/nerf that remixes things when it’s time for PVE action.
Whether or not it’s simple depends…
I really tried that with my parents this year and... it did not go over well. I was like “Seriously people. Y’all are on a fixed income. I don’t want anything Don’t get me anything, I’m got getting you anything. Just worry about the grandkids!”
Why not make this into a game mode? All players get stupid-powerful weapons and have at it with each other?
I am on the third screen protector and second case for my tablet. I’ve had a string of bad luck, but that bad luck could have been worse if I didn’t have a screen protector and case to take the hit! Screen protectors are totally worth it if you don’t have some sort of “smash and destroy” insurance/warranty.
Um, okay. I mean it’s not like Yukito Kishiro himself has written pages and pages of even the most minutiae about his characters in his many ramblings. But okay if you want to do the “Oh he didn’t say it specifically in the Manga so it doesn’t count” then sure. I guess you got me, ...if you ignore that the GENE…
Yeah, it is pretty terrible. I install the app before each ride, and delete it after.
There’s no opting out of a fare. Once you are in the car you’re paying whatever fare you are assigned unless you fight it after. I took one to the airport, and when I was charged over double what the app told me the average price for my destination I had to go through their really terrible customer service system and…
Race/chase missions in games that are not racing games are the bane of my gamer existence. So many playthroughs of mine come to a screeching halt when one of those come up. I don’t have the patience, I don’t find them rewarding, and usually the in game controls are ill-suited for such a thing.
Kansas City is not in Colorado. And surprisingly no most of the cast is actually not white. Nova, Ido, Koyomi are Asian. Vector is Black. Zapan, Yugo are white. Ajakutty and Zaftal are South Asian. Shumira and Jashugan are Hispanic. And that’s just offhand the characters most likely to appear/be referenced in the film…
The series mostly takes place in what used to be Kansas City in the USA. But “Alita” herself is not from Kansas. She’s Asian via-Mars. Also, there are many Asians in the series, as by the time of the series, the Scrapyard is one big ol racially mixed state.
