I love the idea of a multi-touch board game device (be it iPad or otherwise). Those, and turn-based strategy, seem to make the most sense. Creating action games is just futile without some other input method.

Yeah, it's too bad that dude bought his handgun off Craigslist too, or he'd have been fine. Just can't trust the used market.

I'm all for freedom of expression, but man, has Nintendo really lightened up this much about its brand image?

@deisama While I think there is some merit to banning an ap that's essentially defrauding people (in this case, say, you hear from a friend that there's a funny game that costs $4, and then it costs $400, so you accidentally buy it).

Worth pointing out that Lips on the 360 already supports USB storage.

@Ariakkan: The one most effective way to combat piracy (aside from releasing on consoles) is to provide substantive bug fixes, add-ons, and an online community. While pirates will typically crack a game on release, they tend not to keep up with all patches, updates, etc. By providing these features (even something as

You should state whether this pole is attached to user login information. You are, after all, asking people to confess to criminal activity.

You'll role play a fish out of water, flopping about on a dock, slowly dying as you asphyxiate.

Ooh, mineshafts. I love mines. And skeletons! This game has it all.

No hostess bars? Yes, let's cut the sex from the game — that'll make it sell better. Honestly one of the few reasons I was thinking of checking it out.

Yes, I would like the ability to pay nothing to have a vast library of portable movies.

I'll always remember this scene from the Adam West Batman where Cat Woman was hitting on Robin. Something about it was really over the top, like he had a boner or some such.

The only type of game I would desire an iPad for is board/strategy/tabletop roleplaying, for the simple reason that you could have fun with a couple of people at once due to the multitouch and large screen size.

It's a puzzle game where you have to fully wrap (unwrap?) objects with rope.

You have to wonder how much the CoD IP is worth sans Infinity Ward. I mean, making another CoD without them would be a bit like making another Full Metal Jacket without Kubrick. I'm sure they can push a decent number of garbage CoD products, but how long will it take for this to become just another second tier war

@deanbmmv I'm not sure this is such an issue for a couple of reasons. First, the game came out on iPhone long after other platforms, meaning they'd already made most of their sales on the PC. Second, it's not clear how much iPhone users game on other platforms — they're only going to price compare with other iPhone

If this were a JRPG that would be a boy.

I agree with Madeira that the review format at Kotaku is spot on — very fair, not score-centric.

@Vonhert: Right. You don't own a movie when you buy a ticket to it. Why should you be allowed to resell an experience that no longer has any value to you? You're essentially profiting off the work of other people.

@Daniel Hinkles: If I were in charge, I would create a massive federal fund for the arts, which would include financing for video games. I think media is something we should all be allowed to enjoy for a reasonable price.
