Well, if this catches on I'll just wait longer to buy a sealed copy of a game rather than getting a used copy sooner. Usually doesn't take very long for some big box retailers to have new copies that are cheaper than used ones from Gamestop anyways

At the very least my personal experience (and that of people I know) would suggest that the PS2's failure rate was at least somewhere in the neighborhood of the 360's

@Ben Longo: Prob has more to do with the money MS would have to put into repairing consoles now that they've extended the warranty to 3 years. So now everybody has to help pay for it by missing out on features that would be available if the console had been designed better in the first place. I'm gonna pass on this…
