If you read this article as anything other than sympathetic to Simmons for getting royally fucked over by ESPN, I think you’re bringing your own biases to it rather than spotting ours.

Speaking from an HR standpoint: having your contract cancelled is more or less the exact same thing as being fired. I see nothing wrong with what they did at all. Anet did it’s job after the video was posted and tracked the guy down which resulted in their ban.
