Not once did I say there was no point in using solar, nor did I ever say that cloudy days will render them useless. Yes, they will charge on cloudy days, while the vehicle is moving, etc., but different parts of the country have varying degrees of solar effectiveness, cloudy or not. Climate/weather just puts a

“Bonus points: making use of all that real estate atop to the trailer to generate power. It won’t amount to much, but it won’t amount to nothing, either. Every minute the truck sits in the sun, it’s regaining range. Diesel trucks can’t do that.”

1st Gear: A lot of good replies to this have been around local and regional distribution along with box trucks. I agree, but....What’s not been mentioned is that typically, those markets require a lift gate or refrigeration unit or both.

While I whole-heartedly agree that Herbie needs to remain Herbie (don’t think I’d be into cars if it wasn’t for the original), why do you have to hate on the Cars movies, but have no issue with Herbie....

don’t know about that either. it’s wildly assumed the bronco is a wrangler fighter with solid axles. wouldn’t surprise me if there were two variants

Agree. At quick glance it looks like it’s just a body kit and hood on a SN95. Had to double take it to look closer.

Star for the “stoplight drag racer”...I don’t know why, but that probably annoys me the most about other drivers. What point are you trying to make by doing a 0-45 sprint, and then go the speed limit...then I pass you 2 seconds later with a steady acceleration

Dodge trucks....can be a noun and a verb on the road

Flash forward to Jalopnik in April 2017:

Am I the only one who is thinking how dangerous that towing set up looks, and even though the Raptor is good for 8000 lbs in that configuration, it probably shouldn’t be used as such....(that’s not even 8000 lbs)

As my name implies....my 92 Tbird Super Coupe would beg to differ on all wrenching points, majorly.

All well and good until you find a 20+ year old that may have potential, only to look closer, and for $8,000 you get someone else’s dents and problems.

Yes, more power, but....heavier, more expensive, nearly identical interior and cargo room save for the trunk (which isn’t much more), same or less fuel economy than a Fusion...I looked into the SHO for the very reason this article is trying to justify....rather get a Charger if I want a “bigger” car with more power

One of my neighbors just got a new Raptor, pretty much the same one in the video. Heard/watched him pull in just last night as I was outside in my F250 with the 6.2L. Even without the previous generation Raptor’s exhaust, the V8 just gives that size truck a better/correct sound (his Raptor is about as big as my 2011

With the hybrid coming down the road with the inevitable Ecoboost V8 right beside it, the N/A V8 will soon become the “V6" of yore...

This seems extremely similar to people finding out that small turbo gas engines emit more NOx during real-world driving.....that also pass EPA guidelines

Have to agree. Based on what the new Compass looks like, I think we’re looking at Cherokee, Compass, and Grand Cherokee.

why does this lineup seem more like:

First Gear: Cars and Coffee aside, maybe the wanting of a “New Mustang” is wearing off. The redesigned Mustang has turned into the everyman’s car it was originally supposed to be, but (would hate to see this happen) maybe this is the start of the Mustang becoming just another car in the lineup. The redesign has grown

NP. For the somewhat seemingly “good” parts on the car, no reason someone looking to part it out, or has enough experience with Saab to use it as a beater for a short time can’t get their money’s worth, or more, out of it.
