Don’t know if it counts since it wasn’t entirely animated, but The Banana Splits Adventure Hour had all kinds of songs on its psychedelic-inspired soundtrack that I liked as a kid. “I Enjoy Being a Boy (In Love With You)“ was probably the one I loved most.

I’m definitely grabbing the new Aphex Twin and First Aid Kit EP’s, and I’ll probably check out the new Good Charlotte and the Willie Nelson album of Sinatra covers.

I unabashedly love Doomsday.  I didn’t know anything about it other than she was in it because I’m huge fan of hers so that was enough.  Just sat there wide-eyed while all the batshittery played out in front of me and then went and got a friend to watch without telling him anything other than, “trust me” and watched…

Yeah, the third one as a prequel that she was in.  Probably the best of the bunch actually.

Even when the movie’s not great, I still enjoy her performances. Nothing but the Truth was solid and Love & Friendship was her best in quite a few years. I enjoyed Stonehearst Asylum too even though that didn’t seem to go over well at all. And she’s great in Karen Moncrieff’s The Trials of Cate McCall even though that…
