You had me at Ben Mendelsohn..... and again at Edie Falco.... and at Connie Britton..... and Elizabeth Marvel..... and Bill Camp.  Seriously, any one of these is enough to get me to watch something without even know what it’s about or who made it, but all of them together with Holofcener is a definite yes from me.

Triumph is still the best thing to come out of Conan’s show for me.

I envy you your wildly unrestrained optimism.

I got pretty burnt out on Cooper a while ago and wasn’t planning on seeing this. But then I saw the trailer a few weeks ago at the movies, and she fucking gut-hooked me hard just in those two minutes. I can’t wait to see her in the whole thing. And then a couple nights ago I saw Sam Elliott (who I’ll watch in

Or so the Germans would have us believe....

Not as well as Bakshi.

That’s what he said.

What’s on tonight is the new Criterion Collection edition of The Tree of Life that comes out today with a new cut that’s “not a director’s cut.”

I’m definitely seeing this, but I gotta admit I was a little disappointed to learn that there wasn’t some sort of blood-soaked, slow-motion montage featuring a crazed Nic Cage at his most Nic Cageiness perpetrating some righteous violence upon evildoers set to the Barry Manilow song.

I still can’t wait to see it. I couldn’t pass up Dinklage and Fanning, and I’ll definitely check out anything of Morano’s after what she did with Meadowland.

Dammit, you bastard.  Glad I checked before I commented.

That’s still crazy to me all these years later. And then not even for her guest shots on Friends where she and Elliott Gould were absolutely delightful together.

I saw Kin, which I would have loved as a kid and still liked a lot now. I deliberately went in blind since knowing that it had Carrie Coon, Zoe Kravitz, and Dennis Quaid was more than enough to get me to buy a ticket. All three were excellent, though I was hoping for more of Coon. James Franco plays something that

That definitely sounds like something Dark Horse would’ve done in the 90's.  Are you sure Robocop wasn’t in the mix too?

I only got to see the second one on the big screen so I’d love to do this, but sadly there’s no AMC’s anywhere remotely near here. It’s on Amazon Prime though, so I guess I’ll be doing that soon.

There’s no way... no way... that you came from my loins. Soon as I get home, first thing I’m gonna do is punch yo mama in the mouth!

How has there not been a Predator/Terminator crossover movie yet?

“I ain’t got time to *69.”
