I liked this episode a lot. The music choices were perfect, and the visual weirdness suited the story. Sometimes it feels like they’re doing it just for the sake of doing it, which is still fun to look at. But everything they went with here not only looked great but also the fit the narrative.

Also, does it end in a satisfying conclusion? Or is a cliffhanger that will now never be answered making it a frustrating viewer experience not worth undertaking?

Me too. I’m not remotely a fan of Joss Whedon projects (his dialogue all sounds like a 15 year old boy doing a shitty version of Shane Black.... the characters all speak in the same voice no matter who or how old they are... the only perceptible differences are due to the actors.... and he writes the exact same thing

This season was a total waste of time. In the end Graham and Chet were the only real entertaining characters for me, and it’s depressing that the high points in writing in the finale were throwaway jokes for both of them about the fucking Hyundai.

I get delirious whenever I shit
Lose all self-control, baby have to sit
Knees get locked in place
Stupid look on my face

Something tells me we’re not gonna be averaging 2000 comments an episode like last time. Fucking kinja.

No, you’re cool there. I think this is just a US thing. Maybe the UK too.

After they struck the initial deal HBO decided to start their own streaming service, so they’re not looking to license their content out anymore.

Better hurry. All the HBO stuff leaves next month.

I thought I knew what Hobbes was. What did I know? Those days are gone forever. I should just let em go

I was too busy having flashbacks of going to see Wrath of Khan when I was a kid.

The kids he goes to school with?

I’m imagining a cross between Ethel Merman and Michigan J. Frog.

Once again Graham was the MVP and only good thing.

This was a ridiculously fun episode. Taylor and Wags are the two I love seeing the most, but everyone was firing on all cylinders.

Good. I loved this show, and the chemistry between the two of them was a big reason for that. It’d be good to see Helen Hunt in front of the camera again. She was barely in that Shots Fired thing last year. Reiser was a whole lot of fun in Red Oaks and Stranger Things.

Is space no longer a quiet place? I thought is was a vacuum where no one could even hear you scream.

For me Carrey’s one of those actors like Ben Stiller, Adam Sandler, and Robin Williams where I generally prefer their dramatic work for to the comedic stuff they’re known for.

I loved them as a kid, so I’d know that song anywhere. Plus I keep the captions on, and they usually say what song is playing during a show. “I Enjoy Being a Boy (In Love With You)“ was their best song though. Love to hear them work that in. That whole show was trippy enough to fit right in with Legion.

For a moment I got my hopes up thinking we might be about to get some sort of Banana Splits-themed dance number (That wasn’t “Buffalo Soldier” by the way.) Maybe later in the season if they figure out how to recombine.
