Somebody buy the AVC headline writer a thesaurus. This is the third or fourth “middling” episode of something in the last week.

Me too. Same conversation I’ll probably be having after I inevitably see The Rock punch a giant wolf this weekend.
That conversation that Fiona had with Quinn about the difference between the type of television she wanted to make versus what Quinn is cranking out might as well have been some meta-commentary on the differences between season one and these last two seasons.
Or instead of going up against Martin Scorsese’s project he could just be in it. I mean I absolutely loved when they worked together on Bringing Out the Dead and would happily watch anything they worked on together again. The Joker seems like it would tap into that same batshittery.
The contrast between the thousands of comments on the Oscar night post there and what was here was pretty depressing.
What’s a career?
Not my fault Cardi B can’t spell.
So here’s an interesting question, and I’m not trying to start a fight with anyone. I hate this woman, I think she’s a monster. But does her lack of morality, her absolute odiousness, make her an acceptable target for ridicule based on her looks? Does the fact that she’s an evil henchwoman make it okay for us to call…
True. And The Leftovers.
That was pretty much how I felt out the team behind Penny Dreadful (and Eva Green for acting,) and they got shafted. Hoping this isn’t a repeat of that
Goddamn. I was going to have to rewatch it all at the end of the season anyway, but in this episode I got so distracted by the visuals in parts that I missed what was going on. The whole thing..... sets, production, costumes, art... were all stunning. Dana Gonzales deserves another Emmy for cinematography, and this…
Game Night was so much more fun than I had anticipated going in.
Cannon’s story about pitching it was pretty funny too.
I’m glad to see the reviews for this are better than the trailer made it look. I was all set to skip it after seeing that until I found out Sarayu Blue was in the cast. Then I had to see it because she’s wildly underrated and doesn’t get nearly the volume or quality of projects she deserves, so I have to take whatever…
That’s exactly where I’m at with it. Somebody needs to get Marti Noxon back on board.
I root for Graham. He’s the best part of the show.
I loved it too back then. I’ve been bouncing around rewatches of that, St. Elsewhere, and L.A. Law the last few months since I haven’t seen any since their original airings as a kid, and it does hold up pretty well for the most part. Not as well as the first five seasons of NYPD Blue, but then that wouldn’t exist…
Pretty sure you’re thinking of Anthony Yerkovich. He was a writer for Hill Street before going on to create Miami Vice.
Amen to avoid articles, reviews, and internet conversations about movies you might like to see. I’ve found that I often find myself liking movies that reviewers hate, and hating movies that reviewers like. And when I learned how much studios get involved in the review process - that’s when I really turned away from…
