I really want to know. Why is there not consent in that situation? Really not trolling, I want to understand.

In her account she says she gave him a consensual blowjob.

So you don’t think verbalizing her feelings or leaving would have been a better play than hoping he picked up on her alleged “nonverbal cues” is what I’m to understand?

The entire #MeToo movement is continuing to tear itself apart as they realize that literally everyone has had some shitty sexual encounters at some point. What started as a much needed calling out of dedicated sexual predators is devolving into “Any time anyone was ever pushy on a consensual date”, and it’s basically

You’re the reason that people feel the need to start groups like MGTOW, #NotAllMen, etc. Stop doing that. You sound like the fat white redneck that sees a black guy steal a candy bar and then proclaim I TOLD YOU THEM NI**ERS WERE NO GOOD BLM MY ASS!

She’s making a life-altering accusation. “Incredibly detailed story?” Give me a fucking break. Tell me why she should be granted anonymity.

Finally, someone gets it!

Now, I’m watching Seal slam Oprah with photos of her being cozy with Harvey Weinstein, who I’m sure if he hadn’t been found out, would also sport a TimesUp pin. Oh, and there’s a photo with Seal and Kevin Spacey looking like BFF’s ...

We need to stop deifying celebrities we like. We know nothing beyond the fact we like

Non verbal cues? Here’s an idea, how about a loud, resounding, “no” with a kick to the crotch the second time?

Two problems with this story (or really one combined major problem):

My god... he didn’t force himself on her. That line seriously needs to be change. He didn’t rape her, and didn’t do anything like that. He was pushy, and sexually assertive/aggressive. That is not rape. She could have left. He is guilty of being horny and pushy about it too early. Instead of leaving she literally

please don’t make plans to watch the new letterman show

I don’t believe him for the simple fact that he uses a graphic of his name as his avatar.

Welp, it was nice having “Master of None” for two seasons.

Why didn’t she simply walk out? Why did she blow him? This is clearly a consensual sexual encounter she later regretted. “I didn’t really want to do it, but I did anyway” is not sexual misconduct.

Paul Walker kills Tony Jaa in a fistfight in Furious 7? See, I’ve never watched a Fast and Furious movie cos they look like bs and now I feel vindicated, and I didn’t have to waste any precious movie-watching time.

Exactly. I really wish all the constant “We’re good people because we wrote that this made us feel uncomfortable” remarks in reviews would just go away.

Maybe you’re right; this damn Groat’s disease makes it hard to concentrate...

I was being sarcastic about the review.

I agree that the ending was a bit of a mess, but lots of good small moments.  As for the buffet line etiquette, I am in the no cutting camp.  You have people who are waiting to eat, while you already had a full meal and want more? Fuck off....
