Yeah, I *almost* felt bad for him, but ugh. Javert's performance as the potential to be one of the best, and he completely blew it - my sympathy was replaced by rage. Then he comes out with this heap of shit telling actresses to not try to play roles out of their league, and then what little sympathy could have been

True, it wasn't that great - I should have been clearer: I like the original Broadway cast recording. The Crowe/Neeson movie didn't do it for me because I have a hard time accepting Les Mis without music!

He was certainly better, though I'm a bigger fan of the musical.
