Istarted the Les Mis series... it is heavy going. As it should be, because the book is hardly a laff riot! But yeah. One episode at a time is good enough for me!! Loved War and Peace though.

Dad dices up l left over corned beef, some spring onions and tinned corn (drained). A splash of beer, usually whatever he is drinking at the time, after its all mixed together adds an extra lightness to the batter. Shallow fry until golden brown. Even better the next day!!
