It takes a special kind of psychopath to listen to a dozen victim impact statements & reply “but nothing bad happened to me!”

I can’t remember who it was, but it was another member of this family, years ago, who helped murderer Ira Einhorn escape the authorities for years.  Thankfully, he was eventually caught, but I do wish these wealthy people had better uses for their money.

They are not undecided. They just don’t want to admit to who they are voting for.

The only point to writing something like this post is to get people to disengage because they think there is little distance between the “three withered husks” in a “made for TV exposition.”

It was par for the course and was expected. Anyone watching Trump for the past 5 years knows how he operates.

At debates, mics need to only be on if it’s that candidates time to talk. I don’t get why this hasn’t been done (besides obviously wanting to make it seem more like a spectacle).

White privilege: The luxury of being able to watch a “debate” between a guy who is winking at white supremacists and a guy who you only agree with 80% of the time, and see some kind of “both sides” narrative.

It’s baffling that a feminist website employs so many edgelords as writters.

You can lick your wounds about how the primaries went as long as you want, I guess, but the thing is, they went. They are over. What’s on the table right now is the impending election of the next president of the USA.

Here’s the thing: Biden has been in a lot of debates before this one, including recent ones in the Democratic primaries, and his debates never devolved into a “shit show”. Trump has been in far fewer debates and almost all of them were nuts. So what’s the common denominator here? Let’s put our thinking caps on for a

Fuck perfection.  Trump was the only bad choice up there last night, and there’s no point in pretending otherwise.  Biden’s not perfect, but he’s still a shit-ton better than 4 more years of Trump, and anyone who wants to debate that is either disingenuous at best or a Trump supporter at worst.

Giving any legitimacy to anyone that pretends that Trump and Biden are even in the same league in terms of policy, intelligence, mental acuity, and coherence is fucking dangerous. Thank you for not doing that.

I’m signing on to Rachel Maddow’s immediate take. He came in anti-democratic and railing against the illegitimacy of the process because he’s in charge, and he shouldn’t have to listen to the criticism. Putin doesn’t show up for a debate. Why should he? He’s a dictator.

I sure do. And I remember the “Al Gore and GW Bush are basically the same person.”

Honestly I am just so fucking angry at posts like this. At Biden’s age I hope to be curled up by a fire, reading a book and drinking wine, while my grandkids play close by. This man is stepping up to try to save our country, after unimaginable grief, at what is likely the end of his life. I didn’t vote for him in any

Remember in 2016, when some kinja bloggers said it was cool for people to not vote if they weren’t thrilled by the candidates?

Alright, no, this was a bad take.

There are a lot of ways to question Trump about the support he gets from white supremacists, and Trump’s own obvious embrace of white supremacy. Wallace went with the least effective, least confrontational one. All he did was ask Trump to condemn white supremacy, which should be an extraordinarily low bar to clear for

Bernie/Liz Warren supporter here.

WHAT is this bullshit? One of those “withered husks” is our only barrier to a straight-up fascist country that accelerates climate change and puts many of our neighbors and friends at risk of....almost anything. There is no equivalency here. Shitposting like this is harmful.
